Hey guys! I don’t usually post on Saturday mornings, but what the heck. I feel like writing so I will. How was your Friday night? Mine was spent like this:
Red wine, my couch, Brian and SVU = perfect night. Lazy, but perfect. Speaking of red wine, Brian bought this yesterday and surprised me when I got home.
I’ve never had this brand, but after one glass I was hooked. Brian and I finished the bottle no problem! The red wine was a perfect way to unwind after a somewhat stressful day. Anyone who follows me on Instagram may have seen this picture yesterday morning.
Part of my job involves shooting and editing video. What you see on the computer screen above is a software program called Final Cut Pro. It’s what I use to edit my video. When I opened it this morning, all of my files were missing and the video project I finished yesterday was nowhere to be found. To make a long story short, on Friday I got an error message telling me my hard drive was full so I transferred older video files to an external hard drive and then deleted them from my computer to make space for the project I was working on. Well, something went wrong and some files got corrupted and Final Cut Pro couldn’t find/read any of my project files. After hours of playing around with it (literally from 10am-1:45pm) I figured out the problem and was able to restore everything. However, I was pretty fried after that.
I happily took a late lunch break and headed to Toys R’ Us to buy a present for my cousin Colin who turned two this week. His birthday party is Sunday.
I picked up this wicked cool leap frog laptop for him. Hopefully he likes it. It’s called a “Leaptop”…cute right? I thought that was pretty clever.
The rest of the work day went by a little too slowly for my liking, but eventually 5:00 rolled around and it was time to pack up and go home. It was pouring on the drive home and it looks like it will continue to rain all weekend. It made for sort of a miserable drive, but a relaxing night in.
or maybe that was the wine…..
Yesterday was a rest day, but today my plan is to run 40 minutes. It’s my “long run day.” After that Brian and I are going shopping with my mom to spend the giftcard she bought me to Homegoods for my birthday. We’re trying to do a little redecorating. I’m not exactly sure what I want, but I have a few ideas. Hopefully I’ll have some new things to show you tomorrow.

My night was spent almost the exact same! I love Fancis Coppola wine!
My Friday was also spent in front of the TV, except I went with a Smirnoff Green Apple and HGTV. It was a rainy mess yesterday so it was a perfect ‘veg out’ kind of day/evening. Have a great weekend!

Gotta love the sine after a stressful week. I like merlots alot too but never heard of that brand. I will have to try it. Yesterday was also a rest day for me since it was yucky outside. I plato do a longer run today. Enjot your weekend.

Ahhh I’m sorry for your troubles with your editing software. Stuff like that is not only extremely frustrating, but exhausting! I’m glad you were able to unwind a little with some wine :).
