Totto Ramon, A Goodbye and Easter Weekend

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. For anyone celebrating Easter, Sunday was a holiday and mine was filled with good food, family and fun. I hope yours was too! Before I recap all of the delicious treats I ate Sunday, I want to quickly talk about some other noteworthy weekend happenings.

Friday, Brian picked me up from work and we headed into Cambridge to have dinner with Brian’s cousin Jeff. Brian’s sister came with us too. We ate at a tiny Japanese place called Totto Ramon. True to its name, the restaurant only sells variations of Ramon noodles with different toppings. I ordered a spicy dish that included chicken and a side of seaweed that I didn’t eat.

My meal was delicious and everyone else raved about their meals as well. I would go back in a heartbeat, but it’s a little too far to make visiting a regular thing. After hanging out for a little bit we all headed home, but made a quick pit stop at Dairy Queen for our first ice cream of the season.

Saturday was kind of a bittersweet day. My old high school closed when I was in college and although its been abandoned for a while, the property has been sold and it’s going to be demolished soon. My very best girlfriends from high school all still live in the area so Saturday night we drove to our old stomping grounds where we all met to take a few photos and say our goodbyes. I went to a very small school. There were only 200 kids in total when I graduated and only 60 kids in my graduating class. I loved my high school and my girlfriends and I have so many good memories. We had fun walking around the property, peeking into windows and reminiscing on old times. After many group pictures we headed to a nearby bar for dinner and drinks.

Sunday was Easter! We headed to Brian’s parents for lunch and then swung by his aunt and uncle’s house for a visit before heading to my parent’s house for dinner.  I love Brian’s family like my own and I feel so blessed to have two loving families to share the holidays with. I didn’t snap any photos of my food at Brian’s parents house, but we ate pork tenderloin with rice, homemade french fries and an egg. Then we had cheesecake for dessert. For dinner, we ate turkey and ham at my parent’s house with stuffing, green beans and mashed potatoes.

At the end of the day I was stuffed, but happy. As much as I like indulging a little, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to some healthy eating and a barre class tonight to get my week started off on the right note.

Have a great Monday everyone. I will see you all tomorrow!

Tell me one thing you did this weekend?

  1. That must be a weird feeling that your old HS will be gone. I have a cousin who is a senior at my HS so I will be back there for her graduation this year. It’s nice to be able to go back and relive all those crazy memories!

  2. I’m so sorry to hear that your HS :/ but what an incredible thing that you and your friends could do together to say goodbye together. Those pictures from Saturday will mean everything to come years down the road. Im glad you had a good Easter with your families<3
